Privacy Policy
Scope and contact
This policy covers the EZ视频修复助手 Mac app (also called EZVideoRepair), developed by Karl Luo (whitelok), and this privacy policy page. Last updated: October 29, 2026. For privacy questions, contact whitelok@gmail.com.
Media processing stays on your Mac
Videos, images and audio tracks you select are decoded, restored with AI and exported locally on your Mac. The app does not upload this media, generated results or inference inputs to the developer or a cloud inference service, or use them to train models.
Information stored locally
To save projects, reuse results and resume interrupted work, the app stores source paths, file hashes, media properties, restoration settings, task status, results, checkpoints and file-access bookmarks locally. Language preferences, model locations and download status also stay on your device. File hashes support local verification and reuse and are not uploaded to the developer. Exported projects may contain media names, paths, settings, results and checkpoints; review their contents before sharing.
Model downloads and external services
When you choose to download the EZVR Flash V1 model, the app selects a source using the macOS region setting: mainland China (CN) uses the third-party mirror hf-mirror.com over HTTPS; other regions use Hugging Face. Both may redirect to file delivery services. The app does not use IP geolocation, and the interface language does not determine the source. These services receive the IP address, request time, requested model files and standard network request information needed for delivery. Their privacy policies govern processing and retention. Requests do not contain your media, restoration results or local source paths. You can use existing local model files without downloading a model; restoration works offline once the model is ready. Quitting the app stops its download tasks.
Accounts, analytics and tracking
The app requires no account, includes no advertising, behavioral analytics or tracking SDKs, does not automatically send usage records or crash reports to the developer, and does not sell personal information. Diagnostics, purchases and distribution handled by macOS and the App Store are governed by Apple’s policies and your system settings.
Retention, deletion and your controls
Local projects, results, checkpoints and models generally remain until you delete them. Clear Cache in Settings removes temporary caches only; it keeps models, projects, results and checkpoints. Unlinking a local model does not delete the model source files you selected. You can manage your saved source media, projects and exports in Finder. App-managed workspaces, downloaded models and state are stored under Containers/com.whitelok.mac.EZVideoResolutionRepairer/Data/Library in your user Library. Quit the app and back up files you need before deleting that data; deletion removes related task history or the ability to resume work. Uninstalling the app does not guarantee deletion of all container data or user-exported files.
Support requests and website visits
If you contact support by email or GitHub, those services and the developer receive the address, text and attachments you provide to respond and resolve the issue. Avoid sending unnecessary private media. Support correspondence is retained for resolving the issue and necessary follow-up; request deletion by email, subject to any legally required retention. This page loads no analytics scripts, advertisements or third-party fonts. Once published on GitHub Pages, the hosting provider may still process server logs such as visitor IP addresses.
Security, children and policy changes
The app uses the macOS sandbox and file permissions you grant, and downloads use HTTPS. Protect your device and consider that system backups or cloud sync may separately copy local files. The app is not specifically designed for children and does not actively collect personal information from children. Contact the email above with questions about access, correction or deletion; information stored only on your device must be managed on that device. Changes to this policy will be reflected in the date and content on this page and in subsequent app versions.
