Open Model manager and download EZVR Flash V1, or select an existing compatible local model folder. Wait for verification before importing media and generating a preview. The initial online download requires internet access and is approximately 7.79GB.
Does restoration need an internet connection?
Once the model is ready, video and image restoration runs entirely on your Mac and works offline. Your media is not uploaded to a cloud inference service.
What if a model download fails or is slow?
Check your connection and available disk space, then pause and resume in Model manager. A macOS region setting of mainland China (CN) selects hf-mirror.com; other regions use Hugging Face. This is independent of interface language. The mirror may redirect to Hugging Face. You can also obtain compatible files from the model repository and select their local folder.
Is my Mac supported?
The current release build requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, an Apple Silicon Mac (M series) and at least 24GB of memory. Intel Macs are not supported. Allow additional space for temporary downloads, results and projects.
Will a two-second preview finish in two seconds?
No. Two seconds is the clip length, not processing time. Processing depends on your hardware, source media and selected range. Start with a short preview.
Why does a project report missing media or models?
Relink the original media and a compatible model as prompted. Projects reference source media and do not automatically bundle source files or models. Keep existing results and checkpoints before continuing unfinished work.
How do I clear caches?
Open Settings and choose Clear cache. This removes temporary caches while keeping models, projects, results and checkpoints. Cache cleanup is unavailable during processing.
How can I report a problem?
Email whitelok@gmail.com with the app version, macOS version, Mac chip and memory, steps to reproduce and any error message. Do not send passwords, private media or unnecessary personal information.
